Raw bananas are a good substitute for potatoes. They are used in many interesting recipes.
- Pressure-cook the raw bananas up to 3 whistles. Allow the bananas to cool. Peel off the skin. Cut them into 2 " long pieces (approx.). Again, cut each piece into 4 vertical strips.
- On a low flame, heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds. As they start to crackle, add the banana pieces, dry spices and salt.
- Gently toss to mix well. Cook for 3-4 minutes. Serve hot.

I am so lost. I would like to have my sweet Indian neighbors over for dinner with his parents who are visiting from Indian and they are Jain vegetarians. HELP. I need recipes and I don't even understand these ingredients or instructions I really want to find some *American* recipes they can like but will taste different to them.
