Tender, whole, fresh, green grams are spiced to make a delicious vegetable. They taste good, dry or with gravy.
- Thoroughly wash shelled green grams.
- Heat oil in a pan. Add asafoetida, grams, salt and water. Cover the pan with a lid. Keep it slightly open. Put water on it for vaporization.
- Cook on a medium flame till almost cooked. Add all the dry spices and stir well. Cook again for 4-5 minutes. Switch off the gas.
- Garnish. Serve hot.
Preparation Method
- Thick Gravy (optional)
In a small bowl mix water and gram flour.
Add the mixture slowly to the cooked green grams.
Mix well so that no lumps are formed.
Cook for 10 minutes. Serve hot with roti.
